Cambridge City Foodbank

Cambridge City Foodbank has had a presence in Cambridge for over 10 years . We are an independent local charity and member of the Trussell community of food banks.

We meet growing need for emergency food through our eight Foodbank Welcome Centres, and enable access to affordable food through our Fairbite Food Club network, for people who are in longer-term need. We have seen a 90% increase in need since 2019 and sadly the need in Cambridge continues to rise.

Our vision is a UK without the need for food banks. As well as meeting the growing need for emergency and affordable food, we also tackle the causes of poverty, by harnessing the power of the community. Our values of Compassion, Dignity, Justice, Community and Impact, shape everything we do.

We serve local people regardless of background, inspired by our inclusive Christian ethos and values.

We rely on our 200-strong team of volunteers, the generosity of the public and our partners in the local community. Anyone can help us by giving donations of money or food, volunteering with us or partnering with us as a local church, business or community group.
