Family Links: The Nurturing Programme

We are an evidence based parenting course running predominantly in CB4 funded by local churches.

The 10-week course created by the charity, Family Links (www.familylinks.org.uk) has a strong emphasis on nurturing parents. Based on the four constructs – positive discipline, Self-awareness and self-esteem, empathy and appropriate expectations, the course empowers parents with effective tools to help make family life happier.

If your church or organisation are interested in finding out more, partnering with us or hosting a Parenting Puzzle course, please get in touch with Sarah and Ros.

Romsey Mill Young Parents Programme

Romsey Mill’s Young Parents Programme exists to help young mums and dads to fulfil their potential as parents, as individual young women and men, and as members of society.

We love journeying with parents from early pregnancy, offering 1:1 support and home visiting, helping them to prepare practically and psychologically for family life. This support continues into the first years of the baby’s life and also includes antenatal and postnatal groups and accessible skills courses.

Romsey Mill’s Young Parents Programme is unique because..

  • We offer to work with all young mums (under 20) and young dads (under 25), regardless of level of need in Cambridge.
  • We support dads, not just mums! Valuing and supporting young dads is a key part of our work and we have a specialist member of staff to head this up.

For more information: www.romseymill.org ; or to enquire about volunteering opportunities, please contact the Young Parents Programme team at ypp@romseymill.org or 01223 213162.
